SELF ISOLATION // HOME ADVENTURES – PART TWO

SELF ISOLATION // HOME ADVENTURES – PART TWO

“My imagination functions much better when I don’t have to speak to people.” Patricia Highsmith

Welcome to part two of my three part series documenting my time in lockdown. You can check out part one here.

Day 21 – Was all about some TLC and bank holiday vibes, it was also the first time I got drunk in the bath. (Turns out I would get drunk a lot in my bath tub throughout lockdown)

Day 22 – Saw me mattress surfing down my stairs. I ruined the mattress and the paintwork on my stairs but I had the best time. By far one of my favourite lockdown activities.

Day 22 – Also saw the start of my addiction to BBQ food and only cooking in my garden for the next 4 weeks!!

Day 23 – I got crafty and discovered a hidden talent for mug design. *2020 can suck my dick.

Day 24 – I saw pride, I saw power, I saw a badass mother fucker!

Day 25 – I found I had a ghost problem and only the ghostbusters could help me.

Okay, I’m bored in the house and I’m in the house bored (bored)
Bored in the house and I’m in the house bored (bored)
Bored than a muhfucka in the house bored
And I’m bored than a muhfucka in the house bored

Day 26 – I let the whole of the internet know about my total lack of rhythm and timing, but I did feel like a rock star.

What I feel in the air tonight………my total lack of timing & rhythm!! Oh and just to add to my lack of musical bones I’m tone deaf as well 😂 I was not blessed!

Day 27 – I survived a shark attack!!! Me & Wilford did some open water swimming!! Just as we were about to swim back to shore we spotted a Great White Shark!! There was a struggle but we made it back alive!! No sharks were harmed in the making of this!! Sharks are our friends!! 🦈

Day 28 – Your mission if you choose to accept it……Get around the kitchen without touching the floor it’s made of lava!! I gave Tom Cruise a run for his money!

Day 28 – Also saw me realise how beautiful my local area is. Something I had never noticed in my 35 years there.

Day 29 – I practiced my swimming technique, after all I didn’t want to lose my stamina.

Got to keep that swimming stamina up!!! Swish your tail
And dive on in
And trust…
That…if…you
Just keep swimming
Just keep swimming
Life isn’t all that grim!

Day 30 – I love spinning however my vertigo hates me spinning.

You spin me right round, baby
Right round like a record, baby. Then I got off, fell over and felt sick!!

Day 31 – Me & Wilford went for a ride around Amsterdam today! We planned on taking in all the sites, have a cheeky stop in a cafe and frolic in the tulip fields but turns out you can actually forget how to ride a bike! Who knew!

Blossoms filled my heart with total joy!!

Day 32 – I broke my nieces ride on with my big butt!

Keep rollin’ rollin’ rollin’ rollin’ 🚗 Driving myself around the bend! 🤣

Day 33 – Bloomed where I was planted and enjoy the golden afternoon.

There is a part of blooming which I did not understand, you see. You can be a flower all your life but still not understand it. Blooming is one thing; but blooming where you are planted is another. It’s so easy to say, “I will bloom when I am there”, but you need to be saying, “I will bloom right here, where I was planted.” Because until I bloom “right here”, I’m never going to actually bloom; because we cannot do it in concept, you see, we must bloom now. We must bloom here. The flower must trust.” C. JoyBell C.

Day 33 – I received the most beautiful flowers. Self Isolation has taught me that I am loved more than I ever thought possible & cared for by people I never imagined would so deeply ♥️ Self Isolation has given me so much to be thankful for.

Day 34 – Girls just wanna have fun!!! Lock down fun equals eating all the snacks and getting your arse stuck in a tunnel, remember when fun was dancing all night and sneaking in at 6am 💃💃💃

Day 35 – Was my dads funeral and the sheer number of messages I received from people I had never met filled my heart with love. It made the worse day of my life feel like the future could be OK.

Day 35 – I never imagined I would spend my dad’s funeral dressed half unicorn half fairy, no!

However 2 months ago I didn’t imagine my dad dying, I didn’t imagine I would be in the middle of a global pandemic and I certainly didn’t imagine I would ever be brave enough to post videos of myself on Instagram but here we are!! Also my dad loved doing something fun after funerals he was a true believer in the best way to honour the dead is to live your life even brighter! And I am said he’s gone but he’s definitely present in his 3 children

Day 36 – With what looks like the end of the sunshine for another 12 months (rip summer 2020) Me and Wilfred decided to pop over to Ibiza and work on our tans.
Can you believe we were only there for ten minutes when Wilfred got us invited to a pool party (when in Ibiza and all that jazz). And the DJ was only flippin Calvin Harris!! I think me and Wilfred might stay out here until the sun comes back at home!! (My dance moves may play a big factor into why I’m single, asking a friend)

Day 37 –

Baby, I know you’re askin’ me to stay
Say “Please, please, please don’t go away”
You say I’m givin’ you the blues
Maybe you mean every word you say
Can’t help but think of yesterday
And another who tied me down to loverboy rules
Yes, I gotta have faith
Ooh, I gotta have faith

Now if I could play the guitar as well as i can sit with it, I would be winning at life!!

Day 38 – I discovered my love of dungarees!

Day 38 – My absolute favourite feeling is walking in the autumn wind.
But coming in second is definitely dancing in the spring rain!

I’m singing in the rain
Just singing in the rain
What a glorious feelin’
I’m happy again
I’m laughing at clouds
So dark up above
The sun’s in my heart
And I’m ready for love
Let the stormy clouds chase
Everyone from the place
Come on with the rain
I’ve a smile on my face
I walk down the lane
With a happy refrain

Nature heals everything ☔

Day 39 – After six years I finally filed for divorce.

Day 39 – I held my first annual Self Isolation Sports Day!! The final race was a sack race while carrying an egg and spoon and a book on my head!! The concentration on my face was real!

Day 40 – Discovered my sister tested positive for Covid-19 & I started my quarantine

Day 40 – Poor Joe Wicks was out of action but don’t worry I have you covered!! Welcome to PE with Emma!
