WELSH 3000s

WELSH 3000s

The top of one mountain is always the bottom of another. Marianne Williamson

I may or may not have signed up to do something ridiculous, a couple of weeks ago I noticed that one of the guys I follow on Instagram was organising a charity hike doing the Welsh 3000s challenge (more information below) for the charity Whizz Kidz (look below again) and had a couple of places left to make the group up to 40 and like an idiot I messaged about it! Next thing you know hes talked me into one of the places and now I am spending my weekends up in the Welsh hills training and making sure I am actually quick enough to do the charity hike. Luckily I have until the end of April but still I need to work out and get my speed up a little to make sure I can keep up. I am slightly shitting it but I am also really looking forward to the challenge and meeting new people along the way! Its going to be fun and its for a great charity! 15 peaks in 24 hours even for the fittest person is a mental challenge, half if the walk will be in the dark and there will be times we will want to give up but I know with support from each other we will get it done and hopefully raise some money for this amazing charity.

It is for a charity so please if you can donate that would be utterly amazing, every penny really helps. Please check out the Just Giving page and please donate what you can here.

“Our mission is to transform the lives of disabled children by providing the equipment, support and life skills they need, when they need them – giving them the chance to develop their full potential.”

Did you know that there are thousands of disabled children waiting for their childhoods to start, as they struggle to get a wheelchair that meets all their needs? We believe that every young disabled person has the right to a fun and active childhood, and the chance to develop their full potential in life. We provide disabled children and young people with vital mobility equipment, and life journey services, giving them opportunities to build friendships and have fun, and training to help them gain skills and look forward to a bright future.”

Our vision for the future is that all disabled children’s lives are full of fun, friendship and hope for an independent future. Just like any other kid’s.”
