EMMAS HAPPY WARDROBE // WEEK THREE

EMMAS HAPPY WARDROBE // WEEK THREE

“What’s my style is not your style, and I don’t see how you can define it. It’s something that expresses who you are in your own way.” —Iris Apfel

I feel like I deserve a pat on the back for still keeping up with my outfit posts! In case you missed it my sister convinced me to start up emmas_happy-wardrobe to show my daily looks! Not sure anyone but my sister is actually going to be interested but I have started to really enjoy it. I would describe my style as unsupervised 5 year old so the page is pretty damn colourful! Also I figured if I am already posting on Instagram I should really post on here! I rarely buy anything new or I should say full price. My normal buys are sale items and charity shop finds which makes dressing up and putting pieces together way more fun. So sorry if this isn’t your thing, you can skip this post if you like!

Outfit one, I am not sure what has happened to me in the last couple of months but it would seem after spending the last 34 years hating every part of my body I have discovered self love! I have stopped trying to hide my lumps and bumps and instead started to embrace them in a way I thought I never would! So this outfit might just look like jeans and a t’shirt and to be fair I love these jeans but I would always wear them with a long baggy top to hide my rounded tummy! But not this evening, I went for a fitted top which I didn’t spend the whole time pulling down! This is a massive step for me! I spent the day having a picnic at an outdoor cinema so went for super casual. The jeans were from a tesco sale last year and I think I paid £7 for them! The top is a charity shop find and cost a couple of pounds! Trainers are from New Look!

Look two, date ready! This outfit was better then the date which I am finding is happening a lot lately! But how cute is it! It is a recent buy from F&F at tesco and would be perfect for summer if it ever stops raining! I bought it one size up to have a extra bit of length, it has a tie around the middle that kept it in place! I will probably add tights and boots to it in the winter!

Pretty in Pink, look three, These pants are life! They are my latest buy and again from F&F at tesco. I am pretty sure I have all the clothes they have ever made. The denim jacket is also from there! What is wrong with me! I would say there clothes fit me perfectly! The t’shirt is a Laura Ashley t’shirt that I found in a charity shop and paid about £2.50 for. Sandals also F&F, check out there summer sandal range at the moment! I have bought maybe 5 pairs! I wore this look for work but I would throw a pair of heels on and wear it on a date or for mid week drinks!

Booby in outfit four! Hello boobs! I am massively enjoying my weight gain at the moment, mainly because for the first time in my life I have actual boobs! This dress is from New Look and it is in stores at the moment in a range of colours! I wear this outfit for work and if I am honest I was more than a little self conscious, not actually sure if I will wear it again and certainly not for work, maybe for summer beach or picnic days!

Outfit five, This dress is the bargain of the year by far!! I paid a whole £2 for it from a charity shop last month and I absolutely love it. It is actually two sizes too big which you can see around the middle but sits pretty well on my shoulders! Its a little shorter than I would normally wear, I am definitely a mid length kinda gal but I just popped on a pair of tights and boots and all was good! I think that is part of the fun of fashion/clothes it doesn’t have to be perfect to work!

Look six, I actually wore this dress to work because its my thin dress! most women have one dress that they feel incredible in. I found this in a charity shop for I think £8 and honestly I love it if it was available now I would buy it in every colour at least twice! For work I wear it with flats but I have worn it on a couple of dates with heels. It is also a heavy dress which I love, the weight in it makes it hang perfectly, it is also a fake wrap dress which flatters all body shapes and I don’t have to worry about flashing my boobs which now have a mind of their own!

Outfit seven! Final look of the week, my workout clothes which I wear hiking, this week featuring a waterproof coat which I had to go out and buy because you know British summertime! I won’t talk about the workout stuff as always it is F&F which I have spoken about loads in the past. The coat is from mountain warehouse, lightweight and fully waterproof and pretty damn warm! I decided on yellow as I walk a lot in Wales on my own and if I had an accident I would be easier to spot, hopefully.
