30 DAYS OF FITNESS // DAYS 7-9

So this challenge is finally starting to get easier, thank goodness! Feeling like I am going to die every day was getting super old. Other than the physical aspect of this challenge, I am trying to keep a check on my mental health, which is making it slightly harder. In the past I would have used something like this as an excuse to starve or punish myself, now I am doing it for health which should always include your mental health. So no more guilty exercising or starving myself and after 34 years of doing this, it’s not taking much for those negative thoughts to enter my head. Day Seven, was all about rest! And my first proper rest day since starting the challenge, and it scared the shit out of me. I am currently in the least active job I have ever done! I am literally desk bound which apparently means less than 5k steps in a door! I had no idea the number was so low which now makes being active even more important to me! I can safely say I never want a day where I don’t meet the 10k step goal. I had no idea the count was so low

Day eight, was cheat meal day! My wonderful friend Aimie and her partner invited me over for dinner and since Aimie makes the most delicious food and spoils me I planned that to be my cheat meal. Again I am trying not to let fitness take over, in the past I would have turned down invites for food I couldn’t control. I did do week two, run one from the couch to 5k app, plus an extra 30 minutes running, pretty sure it didn’t even burn off the cheesecake I ate! But this is about creating habits not limiting myself. Cheesecake is all good if I am at least making an effort!

Day nine, I did week two, run two of the couch to 5k app. Although due to my plans I won’t complete week two within the week so next week I will have to run an extra day! The running is getting slightly easier, it’s more that I get bored! Next run I might change the voice over and try a different playlist. I will let you know how it goes, although I am pretty sure if it wasn’t for the challenge and writing about it I would have 100% given up by now so least I am still going, just! Hopefully, next week is better!
