WHAT I ATE WEDNESDAY // 009

As part of my 40 new things in 40 days I joined the gym and actually cooked for the first time in my house of a year, partly to get my health back on track and partly to work on my revenge body, not in a bitter way but who doesn’t want to look amazing when they bump into their ex for the first time. Also now I am back at the gym I have to make sure I am actually putting the correct fuel into my body. My diet is a long way from how disciplined it once was but it’s about little steps leading to a big change, it’s about getting my unhealthy habits under control and reclaiming my inner badass. So here is what I ate on a very chilled Sunday.

Breakfast was porridge and red berries before I went to the gym. Breakfast used to be my favourite meal however now I just don’t have the energy to get up any earlier to cook anything, usually its something super unhealthy on the way to work. Which is no way a very good excuse, this took literally three minutes. So I have enough fruit and porridge for the week and am going to make sure I stick to actually eating something proper before work.

Post workout lunch was mega lazy because I stopped at a salad bar but I did make a sweet potato so got to have some brownie points for that. Plus it is better than my usual Sunday take away and binge eting chocolate, this is personal growth on a plate.

Dinner was leftover salad and lots of bread, one thing I do not shy away from is carbs I bloody love them. In my defence I barely ever eat pasta or rice, if I make curry I always have it without rice and never normally pick pasta dishes so today was a total treat. Pluse there is some veggies on the plate, probably too much dressing though, but next week there will be an improvement then again the week after. This is a lifestyle change and not a quick fix.

I didn’t eat any snacks today because I actually had three proper meals for once and actually recognised that I was full and didn’t need to snack. However, this didn’t stop me from checking the fridge a hundred times during the day. I am feeling super positive and looking forward to seeing my body change ready for summer, I can’t tell you how amazing it feels being back in the gym. Not going to lie I feel super proud of myself and I am staying away from all negative thoughts in regards to me stopping with the gym or the weight I have put on! Good vibes only!
