Salt water is the cure!

Salt water is the cure!

” The cure for anything is salt water, sweat, tears or the sea. ”

I am now home from the hospital and unable to return to work for at least a week and whether I’m poorly, sad, happy or just feeling a little lost there is only one place I ever want to be. The sea heals everything, just looking out to the sea melts away every little problem from my mind and allows me to just be.

As ridiculous as it sounds I really struggle with not working, I enjoy the pace of my life and find it incredibly hard to slow done and rest. So being given a list of rules to follow really upsets me, not being able to work drives me insane.

Since I’m now having to have time off work I thought I would do some of the things I’ve been meaning to do or visit some places I’ve been wanting to see. So I got my broken head over to New Brighton for an afternoon of sea air and a ice cream or two, naturally.

I can’t tell you how much better I felt the second I stepped out of my car into the sea air, I headed straight to the waters edge, sat on a rock and just breathed. I must have been there for a good hour not really thinking of anything just concentrating on breathing and listening to the sound of the waves.

Having a bit of a bad hair day!

” Because there’s nothing more beautiful than the way the ocean refuses to stop kissing the shoreline, no matter how many times it’s sent away. ” Sarah Kay

Since I was already on the Wirral I thought I would take the quick drive over to West Kirby, on the recommendation of a friend.

I’m so glad I took my friends advice, West Kirby was stunning, although there was slightly less to do then in New Brighton. The views more than made up for it and I soaked up each and every last piece of the scenery.

Obviously ice cream helps with a fractured skull, well I’m sure that’s what the doctor told me!

” For her the ocean was more than a dream, it was a place she needed to visit to find herself. and when she returned to the city, you could see the sun in her eyes, the wind in her hair, and the taste of the infinite salt on her lips.” –jose chaves

After only a afternoon beside the sea I felt a million times better and more relaxed, but more importantly I was ready for a week of adventures.
