Goodbye 2016

Goodbye 2016

2016 has been an emotional rollercoaster and a year I’m glad that there are no days left of, ok so it’s not been that bad but it’s been hard enough although looking back at the year in photographs there has been some pretty special moments. I have spent five months extremely ill, I have battled with my weight, me and Jamie have spent five months apart and I have come to realise I hate my job. But the highs have been incredible I have meet some amazing women, this blog has become more than I could have ever imagined, me and Jamie had our first holiday together and I now have a clean bill of health. Sometimes you have to go through the harder times to make you realise how amazing life really is.

And although this year has been hard it has given me the tools, ideas and incentive I needed to make next year incredible and the best year yet.

Some of my 2016 highlights and moments that will forever make me smile.

Me, Jamie and Dave spending a week in Wales exploring was probably my favourite part of 2016, it was wonderful to spend a week beside the sea without any technology. Definitely on my wish list for 2017! Oh and I had a go on a rope swing for the first time and ate far too much ice cream.

Having a week in London on my own, I love Jamie and Dave more than anything else in the whole world but sometimes I just need my own space and some time alone to self-care . And it was lovely to spend some real-time in London, usually whenever I go I am so busy and never really get to explore so it was lovely to go without a plan or a schedule.

Hitting my goal weight, even if it was just for a couple of months, I never imagined in a million years that I would be as fit as I am now, but I am and I feel strong and healthy.

Starting my YouTube channel has been such a big step for me and something I have wanted to do for so long, but have let fear stop me doing it and although im not about to win an Oscar for my videos I absolutely love doing it and can’t wait to grow my channel in 2017.

Little baby Oscar being born, Jamie’s cousin gave birth to the most beautiful baby ever to be seen and its been an amazing three months watching him change. Having a baby around during Christmas has bought a new magical aspect to the day and I can’t wait to see him grow and turn into a handsome young man.

My younger sister gave me the best Christmas present ever, she told me that in June I’m going to be a Aunty for the first time. I’m so incredibly happy and happy for her, I’m already so excited to meet little bean and shower them in love.

So long 2016 you certainly have been memorable ……………….

What a lovely, lovely post Emma. Cheers to 2016 and here’s to 2017. I hope it is filled with all of the best things. Congratulations on becoming an aunt; this certainly was the highlight of my year 🙂 I hope your niece/nephew brings you as much joy as Eva has given to me xx
