Small happy moments // 002

“For most of life, nothing wonderful happens. If you don’t enjoy getting up and working and finishing your work and sitting down to a meal with family or friends, then the chances are you’re not going to be very happy. If someone bases his/her happiness on major events like a great job, huge amounts of money, a flawlessly happy marriage or a trip to Paris, that person isn’t going to be happy much of the time.
If, on the other hand, happiness depends on a good breakfast, flowers in the yard, a drink or a nap, then we are more likely to live with quite a bit of happiness.”
Andy Rooney

Here is a little round-up of some of the small happy moments that made my world light up in the last week……

Jamie was home for two nights last week so I cleared my diary and he surprised me with two date nights, our time together is so precise as we don’t get much of it. Our relationship works well as we are both off chasing our dreams, we are growing as people individually, yet at the same speed. Usually our time together is spent talking about what we have done, whats not worked and new plans to take over the world. But this week we turned our phones off and chatted about the future, looked at holidays for next year and made some Christmas plans. It’s always sad to say goodbye but its worth it for our time together.

I uploaded my first ever vlog, which was absolutely the scariest thing I have ever done, i have been thinking about starting a youtube channel and vlogging since I started my blog but have been too scared, mainly because I didn’t want to embarrass myself. I recorded my vlog a couple of weeks ago and chickened out of putting it up but I have finally just put it out there in the world warts and all because i would regret it more if I didnt.

After what feels like months of being in a bad place when it came to my fitness I finally got back in the gym and back to clean eating, it’s not been easy but it has definitely been worth it!

When it comes to being British I have it down! tea the second I open my eyes, tea with friends and family, tea before and after every major or minor life event. And definitely no drunken that freaks me out! This week I received my first subscription box to curious tea and boy did I get excited, a whole box full of tea, whats not to love.

When i started by blog i could never have imagined that anyone would ever read it let alone how well it has done, i am so thankful every single day to everyone who reads it and helps it grow. And this week i published my first ever collaboration post, that fact that others want to be involved in my blog is amazing and feels my heart with happiness. It has also made me think that I would love to see posts from you lovely readers on my blog and if you would like to write something or share an experience about your world then please let me know. I want this to be a place where people can tell the truth about their feelings or spread some love, just a place where we can all help each other out because at the end of the day we are all in this together.

October is here and it is my favourite of the months, there is something so magical about October. Nature shows us every colour imaginable, there are pumpkins everywhere, fireworks light up the night sky, Halloween is just around the corner and the start of christmas begins.

What small happy moments have lit up your world?
