September favourites

September favourites

I thought I would do a little round up of some of my favourite products in September. Some of these are really old but I am only just discovering them which make them shiny and new to me. Here are some of things I have been utterly obsessed with in September. One thing I thought I would never ever say is there is actually more beauty products in my favourites than food ( I know, I’m shocked to )!

So the other week I nipped into boots to pick up some pretty boring bits and pieces when out the corner of my eye I noticed the store looked very different! Off in the corner where the boring electrical goods are usually kept was a rainbow of shimmering colours and the sweetest smells. Naturally I had to go and investigate and to my utter joy the aisles were filled with Christmas gift sets. Now I promise I was just looking, getting ideas and generally enjoying the fact that Christmas is just round the corner. Now it came as just a shock to me as it did to Jamie when I returned home a hour later carrying a lot of bags filled with Christmas gift sets to myself.

One of those little treats was this Laura Ashley body butter, now I love there clothing but have never tried any of there beauty products so I figured now would be a good time to start. I now feel like my grandmother with her floral body lotion on her bedside table ( although she used marks and Spencer’s ). This has become my night time body butter covering myself in it before I climb into bed, the smell isn’t overpowering in fact it has a very delicate smell, perfect for bedtime.

Another from my boots shopping trip, joules bath fizzers and if you don’t have these in your bathroom then immediately stop reading this and get your cute butt down to boots!!! I have bought 6 boxes of them ( and with boots 3 for 2 it works out at a £1 a fizzer ). Possibly my favourite ever smell EVER. Honestly every time I pass my bathroom I smell them I worry it’s becoming a problem!

I am absolutely a bath person! I have at least one a day, I even pick hotels based on there bathtubs. So as you can imagine I take my bath time routine very seriously indeed, and the newest product to make the cut into my daily bath is Buff & Butter natural oils they are absolutely perfect for setting the mood. I use a few drops of the lavender oil in my late night bath to aid the perfect nights sleep. Perfect for some self care.

I’m guessing Ted Baker body spray isn’t a new thing but in my world it is and I love them. There are times when I want to freshen up but don’t want to waste my perfume, like during work or on my way home from the gym so having several of these body sprays in different bags is a perfect sweet inexpensive way to smell lovely. Forget your impulse days because body spray has gotten all grown up.

I am always looking for ways to trick my mind into thinking it’s getting a sweet treat when in fact it’s getting something healthy and these Emily fruit crisps in crunchy banana are perfect for that and vegan friendly.

My September edition of my little box came with this beautiful Claudie Pierlot purse, possibly the best thing I have received in a subscription box. In love it so much that I have ordered a couple more Claudie Pierlot purses and handbag. I have had so many comments about it and it makes me feel a little special if I’m honest, definitely worth the investment.

It’s that time of year again when are lips are bold and beautiful in gorgeous dark colours, my favourite and go to lipstick for Autumn is Maybellines divine wine. And I’m super excited this Autumn because tomorrow I am off on a shopping spree for some new clothes and make up and I’m feeling so confident and comfortable in my own skin for the first time in my life.

My favourite piece of jewellery possibly all year is this beautiful Jord wooden watch. Take a peek at my blog post on it because it truly is a beautiful watch and you need to see more pictures to really get a sense of it, blog post.

Estee lauder little black primer is amazing if only for its wand, I tend to use this as a mascara because the wand is amazing and makes my lashes look incredible, it separates the lashes perfectly and gives them a good length, perfect for a work day lash.

I’m always looking for a post gym drink that isn’t plain old water because after a workout I need something a little bit more and these cape sparkling drinks are perfect as they only have natural sugars in them. I have a couple in my gym bag and allow myself one as a treat after a heavy workout.

I can’t believe I even own one contour kit let alone three, only 12 months ago I didn’t wear any make up now I have experimenting with different looks and colours. This missguided contour kit is as easy to use as it is pretty.

What have you been loving in September?
