I am finally getting into the swing of self caring ( and not feeling guilty about it ). I feel like my life is moving at 100mph at the moment, which I’m so so thankful for but I know without these few hours every week I would seriously burn out and become ill.

This week I decided I would have breakfast in bed while reading, can you believe that I have never ever had breakfast in bed. I love the idea of breakfast in bed but I am not one of those women who can wear white and not spill on it, in fact I’m that girl who wears white and not only spills on it but causes a chain reaction of knocking into someone who knocks into someone who just happens to be carrying paint and before you know it I’m wearing paint. So you can imagine the fear in my heart as I climbed back into bed carrying my breakfast, after the first few bites I relaxed and before I knew it I was wearing egg yolk but this point I had stopped trying and reverted to eating like I normally do ( imagine a five year old kid let loose in a sweet shop ). Once I had a nice full belly I lied back and started reading and before I knew it I was asleep again, I woke a couple of hours later feeling absolutely amazing. I honestly can’t remember the last time I slept past 5am let alone had a nap. This could have been possibly the best self care session I’ve ever had, food & napping is just a perfect combination. Now I’m ready for anything the next week throws at me, my mind is clear and focused and now I have next weeks self care session to look forward to and keep me going.

If you follow me on any of my social media pages then you will know that I am utterly obsessed with breakfast and wanted to show you a close up pic of what I ate. I had two pieces of avocado on toast one topped with tomatoes and mushrooms and the other with smoked salmon and a egg. Followed by soya yoghurt and fresh strawberries, all of this was less then 500 calories and just full of absolute goodness ( I love breakfast so much that I’m working on a breakfast blog post ).
