More happy little things in March

“Reflect upon you present blessings, of which every man has many–not on your past misfortunes, of which all men have some.” Charles Dickens

Part two of all the wonderful little things that made me ridiculously happy in March. You can take a peek at part one here, and remember it only takes one tiny little thing or a special little moment every single day to change your whole world.

Easter eggs make me extremely happy, I have no idea way but Easter chocolate just tastes so much better! I think it’s because I know I can’t get it all year. On the downside I eat far too much chocolate at Easter time.

Recently I am having a love affair with breakfast and on days when I have enough time for a long lazy breakfast, banana pancakes are my favourite, made with just one egg and one banana I know they are as healthy as they are yummy.

A couple of weeks ago I went away for a weekend with Jamie’s family ( minus Jamie ) it was my first time away with them and it was so lovely, they treat me so kindly and I love being part of their family. I am looking forward to lots more time with his parents.

I saw seals in Wales, we went for a early morning dog walk and saw so many little seals relaxing in a cove, it’s the first time that I have seen them in the wild. It was such a magical moment and something I will remember forever.

Overnight oats, ok so I am late to join the bandwagon but I thought I would try them this month and I can’t believe it’s taken me so long to discover them. They are delicious and so quick and easy which is important to me as I don’t have much time in the mornings between the gym and work. Eating healthy is incredibly important to me when I eat healthy I feel amazing.

Snuggling with a book and chocolate, sometimes I have to make an effort to stop and relax before I burn out. I adore reading it transports you to a different time and place and inspires you. This is my favourite down time and to me much better than going out in the evening.

I have recently started running and after only a couple of weeks I have really discovered a passion for it and make an effort to go for a run everyday even if it’s just a couple of miles because it really clears my head and relaxes my mind. In the mornings I take Dave with me which he absolutely loves and he’s getting much better at keeping pace with me.

Little surprises always put a smile on face, since starting my blog my life has changed so much and I am forever grateful to all of you beautiful readers who allow me to live my dreams. I recently had some new jewellery to review on my blog and everyday I can’t believe I get to do this.

I had my nails done last week and I’m slightly obsessed with them, getting my nails done is my only real luxury, I don’t drink or buy a lot of clothes I just get my nails done every couple of weeks. It also gives me a couple of hours of me time to relax and do absolutely nothing.

Despite having a house full of Easter chocolates I went a little overboard when it came to baking some Easter treats. These white chocolate Easter surprises were my absolute favourite thing to make and more importantly eat. Sometime chocolate does make me very happy.

Having a evening of at home pampering, new pjs, lots of chocolate and a red hot bath surrounded by my favourite beauty products is absolutely blissful. And my idea of absolute heaven followed by a romantic comedy and I never need to leave my house.

Me and Jamie spend Easter week in Llandudno, Wales having some quality time together. Between our busy lives we only get one morning together on average which we are ok with, we are definitely each other’s biggest fans and have nothing but encouragement for each other but it’s nice to stop everything for a few days and spend time together and catch up.

Ice cream and a hot waffle, enough said!

Being beside the sea makes me feel so relaxed, there’s something magical about staring out into the sea/ocean. It’s so humbling to realise just how small we truly are therefore any problems you have seem equally as small. I try and get to the coast as often as humanly possible.

Literally my whole month has been made up of eating chocolate and reading, certainly not a bad way to spend a month.

What’s made you happy during March?
