If you read my blog regularly you will know I’m extremely passionate about being happy and finding little pieces of happiness in everyday moments. More recently I have found the importance of looking after my health and fitness levels but in a world where all we do is rush around working, looking after family, cleaning, shopping and paying bills, spending what little free time we have checking emails and social media. How much time are we spending looking after ourselves and our mental health!
In a time where taking time for ourselves comes across as selfish ( and let’s face it when we are busy our free time is the first thing we sacrifice ) We need to take this time back and realise that it is not selfish to want to look after ourselves and recharge if anything it will make us a better partner, parent, child and friend, it is a necessity.
Every Sunday I will be sharing my favourite ways to self care and the journey to learning to love myself. I have to admit I’m seriously looking forward to this, at the moment my body is going through such a big lifestyle change, I’m becoming fitter and stronger but I don’t feel like my mental confidence is moving at the same pace. I still grab the larger size clothes and beat myself up when I don’t have a perfect day.
So let’s take our Sunday evenings back and enjoy a little private time that will help us not only conquer but rule the following week.
