More happy little things in January

Part two of all the wonderful little things that made me happy in January. You can take a peek at part one here . And remember it only takes one tiny little thing or my moment every single day to change your whole world.

Pretty cotton candy clouds, looking up at the sky and searching for animal shaped clouds is one of the most relaxing things in the world to do and soon reminds you how small you are your problems are.

A book, candles and a very hot bath is my idea of heaven and an absolutely perfect way to end a long day.

Jamie surprised me with some weights, weights to make me happy but what makes me happier is just how supportive Jamie is, I’ve failed to get healthy in the past because the lack of support from partners ( they want you to look all perfect but can’t be bothered with the process ) Jamie is nothing but supportive, he’s my biggest fan and that makes me want to work harder, I’m very lucky.

The gym has become my happy place, everyday I see myself getting fitter and strong, I have such a feeling of pride when I can lift a heavier weight than the day before.

Dave celebrated his fourth birthday and although he sometimes drives me bonkers he’s my best friend.

I never learnt to swim as a child and not being able to now actually makes me pretty upset so when I decided to get fit swimming was on the top of my list for learning. Now I’m not great but I’m much better than I was 12 weeks ago. And every month I continue to push myself to do a few more lengths.

Seeing the perfect quote just at the perfect time, we all have bad days or even just a low moments so seeing a  quote that cheers you up again is wonderful. I have a few of my favourites saved in my phone for when I just need a quick pick me up.

National trust sites, I became a member last year and its the best thing I ever did. Time on my own walking through nature is something that my soul needs to survive, nothing beats pulling your wellies on and setting off for a walk in the woods.

Walking Dave through the bridge countryside, Dave needs four hours a day of exercise ( at least ) so I try and take him to several different places to save us both getting bored.

Gorgeous sunrises what’s not to love about the sky looking like a beautiful painting.

Time with Jamie is so precious to me, he is away so much and it always seems to feel like when he is finally at home I’m away. In the past few months we have probably had more dates at motorway service stations then anywhere else ( we meet halfway between where we are when it’s been a week or more of not seeing each other ).

Cake for breakfast by far the best part of being an adult is the fact you can eat cake anytime of the day and you can eat as much as you like. I would like to tell you I had a favourite cake but honestly I love them all in all flavours and sizes.

Daffodils make me smile so much they are definitely the happiest flower and they get me super excited about spring just being around the corner.

Ice cream, enough said!!!

The new series of the x files, now growing up I was obsessed with this show and I still believe its the greatest show ever so as you can imagine I was the happiest girl ever when they decided they would start remaking it again.

Eating breakfast out, breakfast is by far my favourite meal of the day. I have stopped going out for lunches and dinner now in favour of having breakfast dates. Also me and Jamie seem to be on totally different schedules at the moment and have the most time together early in the morning so our dates are usually over a bowl of porridge.

There is something about fruit that reminds me of hot summer days! Not only that I feel extra healthy while tucking into a big plate of fruit.
