I can’t believe I’ve completed week eleven which means I only have one week left of my fitness challenge which you can read all about here . I have already got my next challenge already lined up and I’m super excited to share it with you next week. Week eleven has been wonderful I have pushed harder in the gym ( in fact I feel like I’ve not left the gym all week ). My diet has been cleaner than ever before, I have definitely been more focused this week and am extremely positive about my fitness training for the future. January is nearly over ( I know, it’s flown, only seems like Christmas happened two minutes ago. ) Before we know it, it will be summer and my goal is to feel comfortable in summer clothes.
I have been eating a rainbow of foods, I no longer crave any junk or fatty foods, turning the office chocolates is easy. My biggest challenge is the amount of food I need to eat, I eat six small meals a day which can be challenging specially at work. My biggest food rule is that if it comes form the ground or from a tree eat as much of it as you like, I definitely don’t count calories but I also don’t eat anything that comes out of a packet or tin either.
One of the main advantages I have noticed since eating clean is the fact that despite being around ill people all day in my job ( I work in a hospital ) and even my family and friends have had seasonal flus and colds, I have not been ill once yet this winter.
Glorious, glorious exercise!
This week I have been hitting the gym hard, very hard. On top of my cardio classes which is mainly spin and hiit I have started weight training this week. It’s definitely been an emotional week in the gym, there’s been times when I’ve wanted to be sick, give up, cry. But I have used this pain and pushed harder and done a extra set of reps.
Also not forgetting dog walking, Dave needs four hours of exercise a day which keeps me and him super happy. Even on days I know I can’t get to the gym ( mainly rest days tho ) I know I will get some exercise and fresh air.
Goals for week twelve
- Lift heavier.
- Keep drinking more water ( I struggle with this so much )
- Eat more veggies, you can’t have too many veggies.
- Start training for my first 5k.
- STAY FOCUSED, DONT GIVE UP!!!!!!
Those glorious feelings
I’m feeling amazing, I feel fitter, stronger and healthier than I ever have. I have been slightly down about my weight in the past week tho, although I know my body has changed and I’m smaller than ever, but the numbers on the scales haven’t changed much and that’s had me feeling low. But I need to remember it’s not about numbers on a scale, it’s about my health and about my fitness. Eleven weeks ago I couldn’t ride a bike for more than five minutes now I can easily ride for 90 minutes.
