Here is a chocolate twist on banoffee pie for us poor people that don’t like toffee, this recipe is super quick and easy and perfect to share with family and friends or curl up with alone on a rainy Sunday afternoon.
100g Butter, melted
200g Digestive biscuits
2 Small bananas
8 Tbsp Chocolate sauce
284ml Double cream
1 Tbsp Cocoa powder ( for dusting )
Grease the base and sides of a 23cm loose bottom tart tin.
Whizz the biscuits in a food processor until they resemble breadcrumbs. Pour in the melted butter and whizz briefly until combined. Press the mixture into the base and up the sides of the prepared tin. Chill for two hours.
Arrange the banana slices evenly over the biscuit base.
And spoon the chocolate sauce over the top. Whip the cream until thick and spread it over the top. Dust with a sprinkling of cocoa powder and serve.
