Nutella & banana loaf

This could easily be the simplest recipe ever and best of all it’s super yummy, Jamie had finished the whole thing before it had even cooled.

Ingredients

4 large bananas ( older, slightly brown ones work best )
100g Butter
140g Plain flour
1tsp Baking powder
1tsp Bicarbonate of soda
2 Eggs
140g Light brown sugar
5 heaped tablespoons of Nutella

Preheat oven gas mark 4/180c/350f. Grease and line a 900lb loaf tin.

Mash up the bananas in a large mixing bowl with a fork.

Add the rest of the ingredients, leaving the Nutella it last.

Use an electronic whisk on low speed to combine all the ingredients.

Pour into a loaf tin and bake for 30-40 minutes. Leave to cool on a wire rack before eating.

I told you it was the easiest cake ever, now enjoy with friends or all on your own.

    Oh my word; I just made your recipe… I’ve made banana bread before but not like this… how can so few ingredients smell so unbelievably good?? My house smells better than a bakery. Thank you Emma. I’m going to take this to my neighbourhood weekly Sunday brunch meet up tomorrow. I am sure they will all be very thankful.
