Ingredients

185g Unsalted butter
185g Dark chocolate
85g Plain flour
40g Cocoa powder
150g Your favourite treats ( I used maltesers, rolos, kinder bueno and marshmallows )
3 Large eggs
275g Golden caster sugar

6tag_280915-153121Cut the unsalted butter and dark chocolate into small pieces and add to a medium heat proof bowl. Fill a small pan about a quarter full with hot water and sit the bowl onto of the rim, make sure the water isn’t touching the bowl. Put over a low heat until butter and chocolate is melted then remove bowl from pan.

Preheat the oven to fan 160c conventional 180c or gas mark 4. Line a 20cm square baking tin with baking parchment.

Using another bowl sieve together the plain flour and cocoa powder.

6tag_280915-152949Break the eggs into a large bowl and add the golden caster sugar. With a electric whisk on maximum speed, whisk together until thick and creamy, this can take up to five minutes.

6tag_280915-153157Pour the cooled chocolate mixture over the eggy mousse, then gently fold together with a spatula. Once mixed fold the flour and cocoa mixture into the mix. Do this gently as you don’t want to add air to the mixture.

6tag_280915-152723Pour the mixture into your prepared tin and add to the oven for 30 mins, if after 30 mins your brownie is still a little wobbly return to the oven for another 5 minutes.

6tag_280915-152827Leave the whole thing to cool in its tin, once cooled cut into squares and enjoy.
