January’s happy little things

I’m such a big believer in looking for happiness in every day life, January is such an awful month, you have packed all the beautiful Christmas decorations away, the days are short and cold and if you are like me you are trying to eat healthy. So as you can imagine finding happiness this month was more important than ever. Specifically after having such an amazing December which you can take a peek at here and here . I absolutely insist that in February you look for a happy moment everyday and before you know it you have had 29 happy moments.

Date night with Jamie, on New year’s day we had an evening of crazy golf which mainly involved both of us showing our competitive sides and giggling so much our sides hurt. Any time we get to spend together is absolutely wonderful, we are both so busy that date night is extremely important to us. If you are looking for a new idea for your date night check out what we do here .

Meeting my brother for breakfast, this seems to have become our Saturday morning ritual and something I treasure so much. We eat far too much and chat for hours, I love him and am super proud to have him as brother.

A beautiful sunrise make me happy for the entire day, how can you be miserable after seeing the sky in all her magnificent glory.

I spent a day wandering around Liverpool, nipping in and out of some of the cities wonderful museums, but by far the best part of the day was seeing this gorgeous poppy display. It was certainly humbling and stopped you in your tracks.

Jamie surprised me with some new gym outfits, it’s not the clothes that made me happy as it was that Jamie is so supportive of me, he is my number one fan. Anyone who’s ever tried losing weight with a partner that isn’t supportive will know how hard it is if not near impossible. He never complains that I go bed early everyday, or that I wake home every morning on my way to the gym.

Thumper jumper drives me crazy, she keeps me awake all night and doesn’t like having cuddles but she has a crazy hop that is absolutely adorable.

Seeing daffodils at this time of year is glorious it reminds me that spring is just around the corner.

A bubble bath and a new book is heaven on earth and one of my favourite ways to spend an hour. My bathroom is covered in candles and I have at least 20 different bubble baths and dozens of bath bombs not to mention the number of books I have to read.

Changing the colour of my hair was a huge thing for me, I’ve had the same bright blonde hair for about ten years now so going darker scared me to death but I needed change ( not to mention my hair needed a rest from bleach )

A day at the zoo with my daddy, we spent the day at our local zoo where I reverted back to my six year old self and was spoilt rotten by my papa bear. My dad is extremely ill and lives in a lot of pain so when he’s doing something he loves it makes me happy that I got to share a good day with him. You can take a peek at our happy little day here . Elephants have always been my favourite animal.

I have recently become obsessed with eating fish after years of disliking it. Eating healthier has made me a generally more happy person with a lot more energy.

Cuddles with Dave, enough said!!

What makes you happy?

Such a happy post to read! I know what you mean re gym clothes! It’s the thought that counts when someone surprises us with something like this. And to feel that support and knowing you have that in your life is so special! Luv this post! Made me very happy reading it! 🙂
